Fintech operations automation for small compliance and ops teams
A growing fintech often has one procedure document, a Sumsub account, a ComplyAdvantage account and a team of a few people. Verkflo turns that procedure into agents that do the casework, and your team signs off where it says.

What Verkflo does for fintech teams
At a fintech, the same few people handle onboarding, card disputes, complaints and supplier checks, and the procedures live in a shared drive. Verkflo reads those documents from Google Drive, compiles each one into a spec your team can edit, and runs it on live cases once its evals pass.
Getting started uses connections that exist today. Sumsub and ComplyAdvantage connect with an API key held in the vault, and the Sumsub applicantReviewed webhook can start a KYC run as soon as an applicant is reviewed. Your own ledger or card processor connects through Custom REST.
Who does what at a fintech
The procedure
Your procedures, often first written for a partner bank or an investor, describe onboarding, disputes, complaints and vendor checks. Verkflo runs each one as its own agent with its own version history.
What the agent does
Starts a KYC run when Sumsub reports an applicant as reviewed
Pulls company and owner data for business customers
Assembles dispute evidence and categorizes complaints
Screens new suppliers and their owners
What your team decides
Approvals for high-risk customers and businesses
Dispute and complaint outcomes
Whether a new supplier is approved
What goes to your MLRO or compliance officer
Good first agents for a fintech
Procedures with clear steps and a clear reviewer.
-

KYC onboarding reviewCheck documents, screen the applicant and apply your risk rules, with a reviewer where the procedure asks.
-

KYB and beneficial ownershipMap owners and controllers above your threshold, screen each one and flag gaps for a reviewer.
-
Chargebacks and disputesGather the cardholder's claim and the transaction data, map it to your scheme rules and queue the proposal for an analyst.
-
Complaints triageCategorize each complaint on arrival, apply your response timelines and route sensitive cases to a person.
-
Vendor due diligenceCheck each new vendor's papers, screen the company and its owners and flag gaps for a person.
Testing before you go live
If your team has no separate QA function, evals give you a check before each release. You write scenarios such as an applicant with an expired ID, and a version cannot be published while one of them fails. The sandbox runs new versions on test data, and going live is a separate step.
Banks with separate card and lending teams can read banking operations automation. The KYC detail is on KYC automation.

Hash-chained audit log
Each entry carries the hash of the one before it. Verifying the log recomputes the chain and flags entries that no longer match.

Versioned specs
Each run records the exact version it followed; old versions stay readable.

Secrets in a vault
Steps point to a vault path, and the key stays in the vault.

Signed webhook triggers
Unsigned or stale deliveries are rejected before a run starts.

Sandbox before live
New versions run on test data first. Going live is a separate step.
Fintech operations questions
We use Sumsub and ComplyAdvantage. What can an agent do with them?
Read Sumsub applicant data, risk ratings, KYB company data and AML hits, screen names in ComplyAdvantage and fetch the listed entry behind a hit. The integrations pages list each call.
Can our partner bank see how a case was handled?
You can export the audit log for them. Each run in it shows its steps, tool calls, reviewer decisions and the procedure version it followed.
Do we need engineers to set it up?
Sumsub, ComplyAdvantage and Google Drive need an API key or account access, stored in the vault. A Custom REST connection needs someone who knows your system's API.
