Sumsub workflow automation with Verkflo agents

Verkflo reads applicant, company and screening data from your Sumsub account and runs your KYC or KYB procedure on it. A signed Sumsub webhook can start the run.

Integration

What the Sumsub connection does

  • Actions

    • sumsub.get_applicant_data returns the applicant data and the risk rating.

    • sumsub.get_kyb_company returns the KYB company record and its beneficial owners.

    • sumsub.get_aml_hits returns the AML screening hits Sumsub holds for the applicant.

  • Trigger

The Sumsub applicantReviewed webhook starts a run. Deliveries are signed, and Verkflo rejects unsigned or stale ones before a run starts.

  • Credentials and records

Your Sumsub API key lives in the vault, and steps hold a reference to it. Each call is recorded against the run.

How procedures use Sumsub data

A KYC onboarding run usually starts with sumsub.get_applicant_data: the agent reads the applicant's details and the risk rating Sumsub returned, then checks them against your procedure.

For a business customer, sumsub.get_kyb_company brings the company record and its beneficial owners, which the agent maps to the ownership threshold in your policy. sumsub.get_aml_hits returns any screening hits, and a CEL rule such as hits.size() > 0 sends them to a reviewer.

Setting it up

A workspace Admin adds the Sumsub connection and stores the API key in the vault. To start runs from Sumsub, point the applicantReviewed webhook in your Sumsub account at the trigger address Verkflo gives you, along with the signing secret.

Try the flow in the sandbox with test applicants before a version goes live. The Sumsub connection pairs with ComplyAdvantage for screening, and both feed KYC automation and KYB automation.

Sumsub integration questions

Do we need our own Sumsub account?

Yes. Verkflo uses your account through its API key, held in the vault, and can read only what that key can access.

Can Verkflo change an applicant's status in Sumsub?

Not today. The connection reads applicant, company and hit data. Decisions are recorded in Verkflo, and your team updates Sumsub where your procedure says.

What happens if a webhook arrives unsigned?

Verkflo rejects it before a run starts, and it does the same for deliveries that are too old.

Trademark note

Sumsub is a trademark of its owner. Verkflo connects to Sumsub with your own account and API key. This page does not imply a partnership, endorsement or marketplace listing.
